Genomics and Proteomics core facility
Provided by GERMAN CANCER RESEARCH CENTER GENOMICS & PROTEOMICS CORE FACILITY
Genomics and Proteomics Core Facility has integrated Many different services:
The Microarray Unit performs expression profiling of mRNA and miRNA, Genotyping and genome-wide methylation analysis.
High-Throughput sequencing is offered and monoclonal antibodies, stable isogenic recombinant cell lines and a clone and vector repository are available.
Additionally we provide booking of central GPCF equipment like Real Time PCR machines, sample preparation robots or SilverQuant scanning systems or the wetlab wiki, which allows you to share and discuss protocols with your colleagues at DKFZ.
Services offered by INFRAFRONTIER include
• Rodent Model Generation (generation of custom rodent mutant strains using the latest genome-editing technologies by expert laboratories)
• Cryopreservation (Mutant mouse models generated by researchers around the world are archived using the latest cryopreservation techniques in the European Mouse Mutant Archive (EMMA).
• Strain Distribution (The deposited mutant mouse lines are sent to researchers around the globe as frozen gametes or live cohorts.
• Mouse Phenotyping (These systematic phenotyping platforms incorporate whole-system screen covering different diseases and organ systems.
• Axenic Service (This service offers the germ-free derivation of user-provided mouse strains. These germ-free mice can be used for different gnotobiotic studies that shed light on the important contribution of the gut microbiota to health disease).
• Open Calls (free-of-charge cancer and infectious disease services funded by the European Commission).
• Cancer Services (Via the canSERV project, INFRAFRONTIER offers access to several cutting-edge cancer services as Trans-National Access calls).
The INFRAFRONTIER Research Infrastructure and its partners offer a wide range of state-of-the-art training opportunities: Mouse clinics in different European countries provide outstanding trainings in first-line mouse phenotyping as well as specialised phenotyping courses covering e.g. mouse osteology and mouse blood and lymphatic vessel phenotyping.
The INFRAFRONTIER courses cover unique training opportunities in mouse model development as well as hands on cryopreservation courses offered by EMMA partners for many years.

Mouse cell lines repository
Provided by The EuMMCR (European Mouse Mutant cell Repository) from Helmholtz Zentrum München
The EuMMCR (European Mouse Mutant cell Repository) is the mouse ES cell distribution unit in Europe. The EuMMCR has been founded as distribution unit of EUCOMM (European Mouse Mutagenesis Program) and is located at the Helmholtz Zentrum München, Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Gesundheit und Umwelt GmbH in Munich, Germany. The EuMMCR unit distributes targeting vectors and mutant ES cell lines produced in the EUCOMM and EUCOMMTOOLS consortia.
